The first Bulgarian golf course is owned by Lilian Todorov, president of Golf Club Air Sofia, and is situated in Ihtiman, about 40km from Sofia. He also owns the recently built golf course in Silven, located in the heart of Bulgaria about 90km away from the Black Sea Coast. The third is in construction in Razgrad, toward Varna.

Rumour has it that he intends to build a fourth golf course and is currently searching for appropriate land near the capital. The new facility will be of a higher standard than the one near Ihtiman, and there will be golf property Bulgaria for sale in the vicinity.

The South African golf legend, Gary Player, is planning to build two new golf courses along the Black Sea Coast, one located near Varna and the other near Balchik. They will cost EUR 30 million and include villas, apartments, shops, and marinas. Investors in the projects are Black Sea Golf Resorts and Sofia-based 3G.

Then there is Ian Woosnam, the British golf player and designer, who has recently signed an agreement with Barage Complect, one of Bulgaria's leading property development companies, to design two new golf courses in Bulgaria. The two sites, one in the popular Bansko ski area in the southwest and the other in Balchik on the Black Sea Coast, are spectacular sites. These courses will be built in conjunction with hotels and residential properties, creating even more golf property Bulgaria.
